And We Remain Women After All
~A Woman After All~
So they told her… Its your Omani Women’s Day
Signing the longest Letter: Appreciation of all Omani Women to His Majesty
Festivity continues in 2010 Omani Women: Celebrating 40 Years of Prosperity
So she clasps into more celebrations
In every Omani head line: Building Women Capacity
Then 2011, a New Year approached
Once again they told her: Its International Women’s Day
Rejoice it and celebrate it
Yet reality blows another truth
As she returns home, a husband to remind her
That her peak...is just an illusion
As she is just a woman.. all fragile
To be handled under the care of a man
Isn’t she after all a vulnerable woman?

I love "yet reality blows another truth". You have the way with words.
Thanks for the info about your being in Louisville -- a nice city on the Ohio river. Alas, too far for me to travel, but have a cup of coffee with me in mind during your stay.
I deleted your comment on my blog so that others will not know of your plans. Cannot be too careful these days and , as my neighbor used to say: "safety first".
Enjoy the spring in our fair country.
We are trained to think that we are vulnerable...in reality, i think women as any other female species is much more resilient, studies too say so
and i seem to agree with the family and social systems that are built to value and respect women --well, i think it is for her betterment -- but can't make any sweeping statement -- it's a much more complex subject,
anyway, nice to be seeing you in the photos, Nasra...hearty smile :)
wishes,
devika
