~Smiling Sun~

Black velvet... by carf
Black velvet..., a photo by carf on Flickr.
Whatever it is..
It does not stop now
Yet whatever is today
Will end somehow
As the curtains of night
Opens its wings
However dark it is
Sunlight will strike
Once was a long dark night
Smiling sun will take a place
Night and Day
Or Day and Night
As earth goes on
Are on continuous race

~ Touch A Woman ~

Hands by Lupe Jelena
Hands, a photo by Lupe Jelena on Flickr.

When you touch
Touch a woman
Feel her strength
Linger a little,
Into her soul
Swim into her beauty
You'll be in the water
That’s when you'll taste,
The aroma of her
Its the smell of ocean
The water of who she is
Still yet you will find
There is pearl of you
Hidden so deep,
In the womb of her ocean,
Within precious line of her soul
And if you don’t understand
All this poetic words
Touch a women's soul
Only then you'll comprehend
The deep meaning of my words

When you touch
Touch a woman
Gaze a little into her pain
That’s only when you'll know
Why she is a woman
You'll see her fragile shoulders,
Are just carrying endless weight
Heavy clouds she might be,
Carrying shower of tears
But its not grey clouds that you'll see
She is all sunshine of smiles
So when you touch:
Touch a woman

So whenever there lust beats
That keeps knocking on your door
Answer it back swiftly
That you have touched
Touched a women
You have all gone
Gone on a exploring journey
Sank deeper than her mountains
You have touched core of her soul
Your whole being just reached
Where no man can ever reach
Climbed the peek of earth
Your breath swept away
Yet you explore
As you touch a woman
Its was merely touching your soul
As deep within her
There is pearl of you

And We Remain Women After All

~A Woman After All~
So they told her… Its your Omani Women’s Day
Signing the longest Letter: Appreciation of all Omani Women to His Majesty
Festivity continues in 2010 Omani Women: Celebrating 40 Years of Prosperity
So she clasps into more celebrations
In every Omani head line: Building Women Capacity
Then 2011, a New Year approached
Once again they told her: Its International Women’s Day
Rejoice it and celebrate it
Yet reality blows another truth
As she returns home, a husband to remind her
That her peak...is just an illusion
As she is just a woman.. all fragile
To be handled under the care of a man
Isn’t she after all a vulnerable  woman?

~ Residing in a Soul ~

Dusk and the boy
Originally uploaded by LensENVY

Has it been in a place?
That resided for awhile
A gap between times
A silence amidst of breath
In a forgotten place
Just deserted even from the wind
Undistracted peace
Weaved within silence
Just detached for all what I think I am
With no clue where I have been
And towards where I would reach
As the weight of bones are freed
Unveiled with humanely skin
With all the scars are erased
No powder mask to face
Then was in my soul exposed
For once, I truly resided into my soul

On my shoulder, settling softly

Wind whistles, airy tunes
Through this beach of life
Fiddles every hair of existence
With all this, thoughts are drifting
And here I am
Watching my waves
Taking turns to end
I inhale, beauty and sores
Of what life has touched
The wind continues to blow
The waves trails back and fro
Of whatever life stores

So what is happening in Oman, we are going to have Conference on Woman in Business on 2nd of June 2007, for more info please visit http://www.womeninbusiness-oman.com/speakers.htm . Great business women speakers in this conference and among them three Omani women: Aisha A. Al-Kharusi who is Deputy Dir. of Strategic Analysis working for Boeing International ME., Malak Ahmed Al-Shaibani who is GM-Corporate Affairs working for Sohar-Aluminium and Fathiya Nasser Al-Farsi who is an IT Director working for Omantel. On my wish list is to meet Farhana Huq who is Founder and CEO of C.E.O Women.

This is the poem that I wrote based on this event :

~A Woman She is~

So he asked who she is
She stood there inhaling
What must be?
A moment of truth
Then she plunged with deep breath thinking
“Who am I?”
The words repeated to her in a self form
Lightening of thoughts by passed her,
Then ancient scripture appeared in bold
She ended her pause
To answer back in an only way she knows
In a women affirmation voice
Standing against gravity of earth
And boldly said:
I’m all woman
A woman
Ancient in Hieroglyphic Transcripts
A Cleopatra underlined in history
I am a Cleopatra
In a mountain stand
Creating a history of today
With my hands that dig the path of tomorrow
Learning through my weakness to engrave this path
I’m a female scribbled with many emotions,
I’m intelligence sculptured in curves,
A statement of womenhood
I’m not here to stand in man’s shoes
Here is the fountain that bears all nations
Yes there times where I get trapped in claws of lion,
But I’m woman who knows no defeat
For there is no ground to fall, as I chooses to stand
Despite my trembling knees
I conquer my fate
A woman who creates her own destiny

~ Blood Orange ~

Peel and Peel
The orange surface I’m in
Satisfy your search
Knowing where I contracted pain
Dig into the citrus of me
To seize the proof
In where I strayed wrong
As you peel out of my skin
Then you slash in half my soul
So you know there is a core
Within this, a flesh pigmented in blood
Will you be afraid to contract my pain?
Infectious with just a touch
Do you find Aids in here?
Or is it death that you fear
Maybe to fall a victim of pain
But I’m born in pigmented flesh
Blotched in stain
Which appears through your eyes
It’s a stain of blood
Somehow you forgot
That I am what I always been
Blood Orange

As a child I use to be afriad of eating this type of orange, thinking it was real blood. Thank you Maweni Farm Media for opening my eyes on Aids in Tanzania

Everyday Heroines

Originally uploaded by asterisque morte.

From time time, my words are tide inside of me. I wish I could express how the world is such a wonderful place to be in. Knowing that life can be about the people who you come in touch with and the blessing of knowing such unique souls out there. I’m not talking about contacts that sets you up to the ladder of status or getting a job. It’s about knowing someone, who put a smile to another soul through a gesture of reaching out to them and has no motive at all behind it. Remarkable souls standing there, their good side glows, their kindness are fruits that you pick, and relishing on their unselfish love. How blessed we are to meet such souls through our journey of living. I consider that I’m lucky to meet a number of such souls.

Touch A Woman is new page where we bring a voice of sisterhood. Don’t let your eyes pick on the greater giving; it’s the small things that they make great difference. Im delighted to announce that Amias through her website
http://www.liquidplastic.net/ is featuring about women who are everyday heroines in their community. Hope you can join hands to show how small gesture of giving is the greatest of them all.

My first article on Rebbeca Musi a cancer surviovor in South Africa has been featured in Touch A Women.
(Click Here) Join us to bring more about women who made this world a better place with their petals of love and giving.

Thanks Amias for your faith on me. Thanks Rebbeca for opening up to us, allowing us to see how a simple life can be an extraordinary journey. My Love and apperciation goes to Anne Marie who showers me in kindness.

Many thanks for the photo by asterisque morte in flickr.com
