Eid Greetings

I would love to own a camera one day, yes a digital. A digital camera with high resolution. So I can capture not only sceneries, but many amazing Islamic architecture that we have here in Oman.

This photo was taken by me of a manara just a section of the Masjid (mosque). Tha manra is used precisely for calling prayers. Early Muslims had a number of different terms for "a tower attached to a mosque from which the call to prayer is given." The most common word, manara.

I will be around and about celebrating Eid, I take this ocassion to wish you Eidkum Mubarak. Also would like to extend my warm wishes for happy new year. See you next year

I recently purchased a digital camera a couple of months ago and I love it. I'm looking forward to getting out more just so I can take pictures of the world around me.

Happy Holidays!

Nasra, 2 or 3 megapixel cameras are very good and simple. High resolution cameras are expensive. Please don't spend a fortune on a technology which goes obsolete every year.

This is a very good picture of a Minaar. We have too many of them in India. Now Minaars have no function for 'Azaan' as Azaan goes on loud speakers in all masjids in India, there is so much of religious freedom here. A masjid every kilometer.

Chaar Minaar is a famous monument in Hyderabaad. then we have a qutub Minaar. Taj Mahel has four Minaars. Most of the Moghul monuments have minaars, apart from the usual minaars of masjids. I'll mail you a few pictures soon Nasra.

Eid Mubaarak and a happy new year.

Nasra, I am sure your wish for the camera is very close to being granted. I read numbers and your time of posting says to me through your photo and the numbers that you are manifesting with the power of your sacredness........know how powerful you are!

Digital cameras are getting better and probably getting cheaper as they replace film cameras. Hope you get one soon.

Warm wishes and Happy New Year to you, Nasra.

I use both a digital camera and a manual camera, but photography is also one of my careers as an artist.
I hope you'll be able to obtain a digital camera. They are a lot of fun.

Thank you for sharing more of your culture with us. Lovely photo! I shall look up the meaning of "Eid" on the internet.
Warm wishes to you for Eid, dear Nasra.
