~ Good Smile ~

I whisper a prayer under my breath
Not all the days I would stumble in defeats
Lord I’m standing against all thrown at me
Let my feet be an iron wall
That’s stands so strong and proud
No heart of mine would tremble in weeps
As I have put a good smile on my face
Facing all what comes my way
Standing strong despite falling defeats
Conquering heartaches and trenches of life
Just smiling and carrying on smiling
Smiling…………………………………………Smiling
Smiling………………………………Smiling
Smiling…………………Smiling
Smiling ……….Smiling
Smiling

For this week I had this song humming in my head titled Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson so that is how the poem came about .....

here bit of the song that I liove the most :

People say I'm the life of the party
'cause I tell a joke or two
Although I might be laughing loud and hearty
Deep inside I'm blue
So take a good look at my face
You'll see my smile looks out of place
If you look closer, it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears..
I need you, need you

(Okay a poem out of song)

Nasra,
You must be always tending toward happy, and your face will reflect that.
The Burj Al Arab is beautiful, I now have a copy of it. Looks like you could dive off of the highest floor into the gulf to refresh yourself.
But the Burj Dubai is under construction and is already the highest building on our planet. Engineers are shooting for 3000 feet when completed. Thats probably about 1080 meters with your system of measure.
Nice to see, for me as an engineer, that our oil money is going toward an impressive building.

Interesting to me that people can smile, literally or figuratively, in the face not only of adversity but extreme adversity. It's the kind of thing that cuts across religions and includes people who don't consider themselves religious. Love is another example. When it comes to religious or spiritual experience, in distinction from doctrine, I think there's a lot of common ground.
