Nowhere to Go
Nowhere to go
Mother is gone
In a misery of unending loss
Father died
In a fight for our precious land
No home
Destroyed by another man
A stranger to name
Or an enemy to call
Yet it’s nowhere to go
For a shelter to search
Or to die in grief
Following our mother’s footsteps
It’s not just a chaos of a place
Orphanage each one of us name
And who could take us in
As everyone goes through the same
A land was lost
Beloved ones are gone
With no memorial for their departure
Nowhere to go
Who could hear our cry?
Who will understand this pain?
Tell us if death is kinder than to live for nothing at all?
Where does hope in this chaos fall?
