Strayed Voice

A Voice in the Wilderness is blog where it brings out main issue related to humen suffering. In one issue it covered photos of children with Starvation in Africa.

It reminded me how ungrateful I am being so particular on what I eat and at times we even trash left over of food. They are children dying with starvation. Its not the case one country helping another country, its about every single person trying to help someone else..Every one of us have to do their bits in this life.. At times reaching out it can begin even with a smile to our fellow human-being...

Oh! God
God, hear me pray
A powerless human being
Strayed voice deserted in silence
I never wanted this pain
Facing ugly plight

Oh God
God, give me strength
Cause…
I’m…
Cause I’m…
Cause I’m too…
Cause I’m too weak to save her
Part of me…
Part of me is dying
My child
My child is leaving me
Droplets of my tears to keep her alive
No voice to nourish her will for survival
Save her!
I beg …
I beg of drop of water
The land is dry
We all on a verge to die

Let me hold her
“Your mother is here”
“My precious child, can you hear me”
Le me secure her in my arms
Oh …
My ...
My innocent …
My innocent child, like a twig of tree in my arms
What
What can I do, my baby is suffering?

Starvation does not choose
Mothers with their cry for their dead children

Iamnasra .. this is a very touching post. I feel you. I think just by sharing your thoughts and wishing goodwill to others is a blessing ... and a darn good beginning. There are times when I too feel helpless.

Its the saddest thing to see children in such need.. breaks me up too, and you just feel so helpless, but I guess my salvation is the the acts of kindness we can do each day... tiny ones .. all building up to make a difference.If you can't reach and touch those in dire need reach out and touch someone close by who also has a need, maybe not as dire but a need nevertheless.

Ps tks for your prayers ( my blog) still no news yet, maybe soon either way its ok.. :)

I think at least one major part of why things like this are allowed to happen is that people attracted to power are often in it for their egos. So often, there is no real leadership - no powerul interest in the well being of the people.

My country is supposed to be a great democracy, but IMO, our leadership, since maybe Reagan, has overall become more and more tied to the interests not of ordinary people, but the wealthy - particularly those with large financial stakes in the corporations who pay for the political campaigns of our leaders. So the politicians who get elected owe something to these "corporate citizens," and act in their interest, not that of the people.

So in the US, as it is world-wide, the gap between the rich and the poor is getting bigger all the time. Over the long run, I think it's a dangerous situation.

Wish I had a solution! But I'm sure there have been other periods in history where things didn't look too good. It's hard to judge - our history as a species is still so short...

By an act of kindness..does a mirclae to our life

Well its tragic to see our contry (it doe snot amtter which one it is) does not see into the intrest of its people..
However..we as humen we should let the rulling stand take away our humanity...I repeat the act of kindness does make a mircales

iamnasra,

A very touching poem - your words resonate what I wish I could write. However, I am no poet. Your words, while painful, are accurate depictions that reach out and appeal tp people's Humanity. Thank you for pondering this issue as you have and thank you for making such a powerful appeal to your readership.

Perfect title
Strong, vivid, *needed* words
Your poetry is tender,even on difficult issues-
This issue is so close to my heart that I cry rivers of sadness, daggers pierce my heart knowing any child is starving, so as I read this, you have brought this even more to the public awareness.

~~~I see someone wished you Happy Birthday in the comments... so I shall do the same Nasra: Happiest of Birthday Wishes to you!!!
Birthday Balloons to you: ~~~~O ~~~~~) ~~~~~~~~~~~)
