My Favourite One

One you are...

An offspring of being

The only one

A gift of my existence

The one that changed my life

With all the scatters, you remain my only one

A daylight to all the glooms of my being

And you will remain as always

The number one in every thoughts I have

This the gains of attending a creative writing workshop, facilitated by Priyanka Sacheti who is a freelance writer and journalist based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. An Author of three volumes of poetry during her school-years.

What I have learned in the workshop, sometime even though you are believe you are poet but still you can add more to your craft by learning and acquiring knowledge to what can be described a row talent. The poetry that you have just read was part of exercise on numbers and the outcome of the Poetry Workshop. The point of this story is I’m glad that I participated in the workshop. It allowed me to view writing with different eyes.

What a wonderful name for your little one -- or is Zi short for a longer name?

Workshops can be helpful with not only writing but poetry.
I was once tasked to write a description of an item (book, paper clip, glasses etc) to someone who had never seen it before. It had to be short, and after we wrote the description, others in the class had to read it and identify the object. An interesting task for precise writing. I never forgot it.
On the other hand, I have always liked your words before workshop learning. They were yours, from the heart and honest.
