Secret Gift
Oh God
Spare us the pain
Upon the burning heat
Blow a bit of breeze of heaven
To sooth our weary hearts
The test that had befell on us
Seems so much
Falling, in time we are improvised
Yet it’s a gift of endurance
We were unaware of it
A secret gift from above
You implanted it within our soul
To take us through
In all the tearful phases

I got this e-mail from Silly Adveture, I think it was three days before his surgery. I was really touched by what he wrote I took his permission to post it over here and share it.
Silly Adventure:
I hope you will recover soon, you have such high spirit. May God take you through this hard time and give the strength to overcome all the obtsacles...
Dear Nasra,
After I have just seen your encouraging words on my blog, I thought I
should send you some lines and let you know that I am thankful for your
supportive words. I hope you don’t mind that I use your mail address
instead of the public space on blogger. If so, please let me know.
Your conversation with Feminine Expression moved me quite a lot. Such
beautiful verses. Your’s as well as FE’s. I am glad I stumbled across
them tonight. I am currently in hospital – as I have told you – and so I
am not checking the internet reglarly. But good I did tonight. Some
light on a rainy day.
I just wanted to let you know that when I read your poem it soon
translated itself for me reading like the one on the right. And I wanted to
share it with you.

In every night I wonder
If this gift of God
This talent that was granted
Will guide me through rough waters
Will stay until the end
Will my patience be there
To let me rest within myself
Or will it leave me frantic
Just longing for calm waters
Just longing for the past
I know that I can trust it
As I have done before
To carry and support me
Through life’s wildes terrain
And often to remind me
Of what it is that I was granted
This calmness, patience, faith
This gift of God

what a beautiful exchange. this is a great example of the benefits of blogging, connecting with other people in such a lovely way. both beautiful poems :)
How wonderful is the 'real' God of humanity. Silly, we wish you well and we know Nasra will tell you this for us. You, like Nasra touch all our hearts. Peace and blessing.
This really touched me,the warm exchange, the concern and empathy..my prayers for Silly to be healed and healthy.
Amen !
Wonderful poems. :) I enjoyed them both, they are very insightful. I don't think I've ever looked at the ability to endure as gift from God.
What is nice is how one thought sparks off another and this empathy brings strength. I wish your friend a swift recovery. Sue
Beautiful exchange. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I do think, and feel, that underlying all our emotional lives is the profound calm that you're talking about.
What a lovely connection - thank you for bring it to our attention. I hope Silly Adventure is healed in body, mind and spirit so that she (?) can continue to bring such lovely words to us.
Thank you for visiting.
This was an exquisite poetry and poetry exchange to read between you two. Thanks so much for sharing. My very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery to Silly Adventures.
Tender touching
words inspire
and comfort
like warm
nestled hands
and open
charmed hearts
across the miles
bridged by
compassionate caring
no ruler
can measure
