We Can Fall

Fallen rock

From a mountain top
It seem so small
Yet before the fall
It was unbeatable
Just like you are
All up there
On a mountain top
Strong like a rock
You think you are
You reached so far
You could hardly fall
You think unbeatable

~It Could Happen to You~

A made up tale
Full of lies
Yet I was
Just searching for
Some hints of truth
Even if ..
Between the lines

It could happen to you
Lies that you sold
Will be played
Back to you

A made up tale
Will finally be
Narrated back
Again to you
Once there were
Broken hearts
From hurtful lies

It could happen to you
Lies that you sold
Will be played
Back to you

Now remains
Just your heart
Scattered in such
Purley price
Of all your lies

It could happen to you
Lies that you sold
Will be played
Back to you

~His Rose~

Think.. Think of a rose. Can you imagine it .Can you see what color is it? Can you feel the touch of it petals… Not many of us dislike roses.. in fact roses are symbol of beauty. Wouldn’t you think, that roses not only a symbol of beauty but it is symbol of love and appreciation to our other half.

When a man unites with his woman in marriage, its like acquiring a rose or he see his woman as pretty as the rose or prettier that a rose. That perception it can last.. Not just a year, it can be longer. Let us leave to husbands to give an answer to that.  The beginning is the marriage and it is for those of you who are still married out there. It is a spectacular journey; both husband and wife work on their relation constantly and being resilient. Some of us need to hold on our other half, so that marriage remains an iron poll. Some of us, we find ourselves in a shaky relation that a small stir of the water, can flip us out of the boat.

My story is no different as a woman; I wanted to be the rose in his hand…to be cushioned softly in his hand. I wanted to be His Rose. I was so focused being a rose that did not pay attention that we were out there in that shaky boat and got tripped falling apart. I somehow made it to shore, but a different shore from him. Did not drown yet battered, through storms of separation. The ugly word is divorce.

That was our life and now separates lives, had fallen.. Petals shattered. Picking petals may be easy but no one can glue torn petals. The reality stared at me that no one can amend a shredded life and I’m no longer His Rose within his cushioned hands.

The beauty of rose, that it is plucked from a plant. The plant still grows…Our soul is just like a plant. One day it striked me, that one phase of that piece of rose needs to be thrown. Yet, just like a plant, we begin again a new journey, learning to grow. So growing little by little of being on my own, and faith was the sunlight. No matter how small is the plant, it can only reach out to the light.  I felt the blessing of God little by little pouring in me, to gain energy to grow. My family, kids and friend were the nourishing water to continue the journey to grow.

As I stand here witnessing my own growth, it became crystal clear that I can only be myself and blossoming being me. Neither his nor anyone’s rose, I stand here right before you being in myself skin plainly a rose of my own.

For all of you out there, let us be truthful to our wives and our girls. That she is a rose of her own not her father’s rose not her husband’s rose. She can only blossom by herself, so when that hands of yours due to anything disappears. She will still stand by herself continue the journey on her own.

~Desire for Light ~

A song to light
Originally uploaded by Catch the dream

You are afraid to get sunburned
So I keep me in the dark
But I cannot match you

Is this a sign of oppression?
A heart that longs for daylight
The longing increases in desire
Desires are incontrollable
It needs to be fulfilled

Waiting …Time for Iftar

Now, my blogging begins
On how long that I have not written
Writing seems to be a huge treat
A luxury treats that I cannot receive everyday
As I’m here, its pure indulgence
Purely tasting the delight
As you read my thoughts…
Pray for me my new journey
Can be a simple as the one I just walked through

(A brushing thoughts from Nasra Al Adawi, As she is on anticipation for her first baby arrival)

…Let me take this time to wish you, Ramadhan Kareem…May this month be a delight …

Poetic Mood

Don't Let Me Go

Sensuality to live in

Oh, How I love this emotion

Just to be in a poetic mood

A natural path

Lost in words but I survive the obscurities

A survival dependency
Yet I’m in line between childhood and motherhood
A path that keeps me in anticipation
Love that is not flamed on lust
A natural path like a seed bearing roots
I keep breathing the change
I admit I’m fearful of what would take place
So I put on my radiant smile
To carry me towards my next path
I’m all expecting

~Professional Development~

~Professional Development~

A new chapter begins
I stand there clueless
Aspiring for a position
Is it a dream, to get a career for a woman like me?
I no longer want to be helpless
So I wonder why I don’t dazzle with multi skills
In professional development, a journey begins
I’m an Omani woman, who is not afraid to compete
As the competitive world revolves, here I am equipped with skills
I take the challenge to whichever directions that blows.

At times, to stand in the job front is hard, everyday there are new challenges. The need to prove that you are worthy of that job and the position that you have been appointed, so to my Omani sisters don’t stand there feeling helpless. Equip yourself with multi skills and yes think about professional development, your step for empowerment.

~Come To Me~

~Come To Me~

If holding a pen will inspire me
For flash of words to arrive
Would had held that pen a bit longer
Scribbled as much gibberish words
Knowing at end, words will spark to me
A light of contents will hold my being
For finally inspiration had arrived to me
Like awaited sparks flashing in front of my eyes
And you are the poetry that I’m waiting for
Please, come to me…

~I’m Waiting ~

PIECE OF MY HEART
Originally uploaded by rainbow soul

I’m waiting for your music
Your tune that I never heard before
Tiny finger tips stringing on my being
Bring your music on
Seems a lifetime that I spent waiting
Connect me to you in a language of your tune
Nothing lost in translation
As your music needs no words of language
Just tiny tinkles on my soul

Write Me a Little

write me a letter...

Draw your faith out of weakness
So your falling teaches you
That every fall you can gather yourself
To stand bolder than before
Without fear that fall can hinder you back
So write me a little
Gathering your faith that you can face it all
Smile at agonies, soon or later they keep leaving
Know that nothing remains forever
Not worth to mourn deep down your heart
You have the choice
Turning your page
Taking a step to write a new start

Poetry Era

Earth's Poetry
Originally uploaded by monerxz

I began my day as if I’m not here, though physically I was at work but my heart and soul was floating beside the mountain trying to reach the peek of earth. The float was unimaginable, hollowness, with cool breeze yet it’s not so cold that makes you shiver, it was just a right sort of coolness. My heart was so calm that no doubt it had absorbed all the calmness which had lingered in the air turning me into Miss Calm.

Yet what I loved about the floating effect, it was the swirls of poetic mood and how it had rooted in me. I was all poetry just like I have never been there before. It is exactly how Carl Sandburg, American Poet and Novelist, would say that being in poetry is an echo that asks the shadow to dance. That is where I am now in a poetic elevation fulfilling my being. I can only break here this chain of thoughts by emphasizing my point through a quote of Carl Sandburg “Poetry is the journal of a sea animal living on land, wanting to fly in the air” and I would end with a thought of Voltaire, A French Philosopher and Writer, he eloquently expressed the poetry effect by saying “Poetry is the music of the soul, and, above all, of great and feeling souls.”

I assure you that I’m still carrying my sanity but turning to poetry I can translate my poetic transition with definite words of Emily Dickinson, American Poet, “Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotion know what it means to want to escape from these”. When I’m in poetry, I submit myself to stillness, the peek of beauty realizes in front of me and I come closer to understand how our Creator artistically created our entire life form existence and such beauty it can only be pure poetry. The description of this beauty does not require words, is simple as said by Audrey Foris,
“Poetry is not always words.” As you take a good look through each details of universal existence that we humen know of, one can only admit with John Keats in his exact words that the poetry of the earth is never dead.

When poetry come to me, I feel my guitarist fingers searches for strings, the strings are words that I play with them, unite them creating my own tunes, I become so relieved from what had agonized me and what have bewitched me. I am in the hands of poetry entirely released what might be just a single piece of music that quenches the thirst, this brings me to one feeling which tuned accurately with Dennis Gabor words “Poetry is plucking at the heartstrings, and making music with them.” So when I go back to forgotten poem. I once again remind myself to where my soul have elevated into a life journey. Robert Penn Warren, translates my feeling towards poetry in his own way as he said “The poem... is a little myth of man's capacity of making life meaningful. And in the end, the poem is not a thing we see - it is, rather, a light by which we may see - and what we see is life.”

~Poetic Management~

my new office
Originally uploaded by skaw

So I had landed myself into learning, the ways of individual within working environment. Its OB that is Organization Behavior, how a poet grasp the meaning of management and understanding Organization Behavior, I guess I start to observe and use my poetic senses to grasp about a human-being within an organization system. The word its self as OB or as we call it in long term Organization Behavior it tinkle more meaning to me, it goes beyond the reason of understanding the methodology of OB and why we study it. Is it really just to reach that peak, being on the competitive edge. It weighs more into my soul I see an individual within organization, I see dreams that put in drawing adding colors creating vision. The visions are not just a mission statement underlined as objectives yet it can be a living culture that we breathe through.

So now as I walk into my office, I start to question what culture that I’m living through my organization, how am I being part of the company’s mission. But apart of it all how poetry becomes the twinkling flame to motivate and aspire me to work poetically. Not writing poetry at office time but energize a poetic feeling while working, a second level of feeling that your soul is raised a bit higher than your body and its about an appreciation of what you as human –being is able to do. How refreshing to be inspired through the people who are around you ….

I’m blessed for living these gifts ..
